members of the étant - A Spa for Well Being staff are fully certified,
insured and licensed by the City of Boston. They are all qualified in
their individual specialties, and have graduated from accredited schools.
The following provides information on each of our practitioners.
Mr. St. Cyr is the owner of étant and a graduate of the Holistic
Massage Program and the Polarity Realization Program from the Polarity
Realization Institute, Ipswich, MA; and is a well known massage and
polarity therapy instructor. He is certified as a Massage Therapist
by the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and a Polarity
Practitioner. In addition, Scott is nationally certified by the NCBTMB.
Scott holds a degree from Westfield State College which was granted
in 1984. As an experienced massage and polarity therapist, Scott specializes
in the subtle art of balancing the energies of the human body.
Ms. McNeill is an Esthetician specializing in facials and waxing.
She is also very proud of her work as a reconstructive makeup artist.
In practice for twelve years, she received her training from the Elizabeth
Grady School of Esthetics in Boston. Bernadette is licensed as an Esthetician
by the State of Massachusetts, and is a member of the Association of
Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Bernadette also holds an Art Degree
from Westfield State College, which was granted in 1984. Dedicated
to providing the highest quality skin care for her clients, Bernadette
blends a wealth of experience with an ongoing search for the best new
products and techniques to heighten the quality of services provided
by étant to each consumer.
Ms. Johnson is a massage and polarity therapist specializing in Integrative
Massage. Randy provides a wonderful, safe, healing space allowing her
clients to fully relax and restore. In practice since 1999, she received
her training from the Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich, MA,
completing a 160 Hour Polarity Certificate and a 600 Hour Massage Certificate.
Randy is licensed as a Massage Therapist by the City of Boston, and
is a member of American Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Randy holds
an Art degree from SUNY Old Westbury, which was granted in 1978.
Ms. Olivier is a polarity therapist and a RYSE© practitioner.
She received her training from the Polarity Realization Institute in
Ipswich, MA, completing a 650 Hour Polarity Certificate Program and
RYSE© Practitioner Level 2. She also completed Reiki I and
II certifications. Jeanne is licensed by the City of Boston and is
a member of the American Bodywork and Massage Professionals. She has
also completed several workshops including: Bach Flower Essences in
June, 2002; Melchizedek Method I - V in October 2003; and Cranio-Sacral
Therapy I from the Upledger Institute in April, 2003. Jeanne uses polarity
therapy as a tool for health building and self realization for her
clients. Of her work, Jeanne says: “By bringing the body into
its natural healing state, we can attune to our inner rhythms. By listening
to these inner rhythms we can create more clarity, vitality and harmony
in our lives.”
Mr. Atwood received his training from the Massage Institute of New
England in Somerville, MA, completing a 1000 hour Massage Therapist
program in November 1996. Christopher has been licensed as a Massage
Therapist by the City of Boston since 1996, is a member of the International
Massage Association and is a devoted supporter of the Holistic Program
at the Boston Living Center, volunteering one morning a week offering
massage to BLC members. Christopher is studying Reiki with Reiki Master
Eric Lindemer and his non-massage interests include playing softball
with the Beantown Softball League. Holds a degree from Tulane University,
New Orleans, LA.
Ms. Kesaris believes
in using the most up to date products and continually expands her knowledge
base to bring to etant and her clients the very
best
skin care expertise. She is a graduate of Catherine Hinds School of Esthetics
Spa Therapy Program. Her specialty is customized skin care and waxing.
Dina's
additional training in reflexology, specialty body treatments and age
management
facials round out her experience to make sure that her clients have a
truly wonderful
spa experience. Dina holds a Management degree from Katherine Gibbs.
Ms. Flyura Bernstein is a Licensed Acupuncturist. She
is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture with a master
degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Flyura is licensed by the
Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. Flyura is also a Diplomate
in Acupuncture of The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine. She holds a Masters degree from the Polytechnic
Institute (former Soviet Union). She continues to broaden her knowledge
of Chinese Medicine through continuing education
Mr. Loder is a licensed muscular therapist offering
therapeutic relaxation massage while working more deeply on specific
focus areas. Jason draws upon Muscular Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy,
Sports Massage, Myofascial Release Techniques as well as Reiki. Jason
is a graduate of the Muscular Therapy Institute where he is also a Teaching
Assistant for the Hands-On Technique curriculum. Jason enjoys working
with a broad range of clients including athletes, weekend warriors, busy
professionals, grandparents and students. Jason is licensed in the city
of Boston, a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and nationally
certified by the NCBTMB.
Cliff Smith joins the caring bodywork team at étant, bringing
with him the unique training offered by the Muscular Therapy Institute,
which focuses on molding the head, the heart and the hands into a healing
cooperative. Cliff strives to listen closely and compassionately
to his clients in order to create the best session possible. He
brings more than 17 years of customer service experience and more than
three years of community volunteer experience to complement his massage
therapy practice. Cliff is licensed by the City of Boston, he is
a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, and he holds a
BA in Spanish from Berry College, Rome, GA.
Bobby graduated from the Muscular Therapy Institute
in 2004, is nationally certified by the NCBTMB and is a member of the
AMTA. He has received
extensive training in cross-fiber orthopedic massage that addresses
common complaints such as lower back
injuries, rotator cuff issues and carpal tunnel syndrome. Bobby believes
the most powerful healing property of massage is found in the unique
one-on-one experience between the therapist and client. Engaging and
thoughtful, Bobby’s clients feel well cared for; knowing that their
bodies' stories are being heard.
Matt LeBlanc comes to us from the Fingerlakes School of Massage in
Ithaca New York. He has been a massage therapist working in and around
Boston since 2005. Specializing in both swedish and deep tissues massage,
Matt's sessions will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and well cared for.

Gregory S. Pratt - Licensed and Certified Massage Therapist
Greg is a graduate of The Muscular Therapy Institute in Watertown, Massachusetts. He is Nationally Certified and has completed over 100 hours of continuing education. In addition to his knowledge of swedish and deep tissue massage, Greg has recently been certified in Thai Yoga Massage at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in Manhattan. His technique combines the best of both Western and Eastern massage elements. A member of the American Massage Therapy Association, Greg strives to give his clients a healing and restorative massage experience. Greg attended the University of Massachusetts and Ludwig Maxamillians University in Munich. A student of language, he also taught English as a second language to non-native speakers. |
